I actually found this on my 7 year old laptop... This was a short scene I wrote when we killed our first Zakum in Bellocan with my guild "Honour." Enjoy
As the monster made a move to strike down upon the warrior that was currently attacking at its base, the warrior noticed the fatal attack too late. But as the hit was about to put him on his back, a hermit quickly flash jumped passed him while pulling the warrior out of harm’s way. As the warrior is pulled away, he notices that it was Wes that had saved him.
“YOU,” shouts the warrior pointing the bare sword at the hermit.
As Wes looks at Dee, he says, “What? Do you want me to put you back under Zakum’s arm?”
Dee looks toward the spot where he was standing to see a big imprint of a hand there, and quickly says, “No thanks, I would rather be alive than dead,” grudgingly adding, “Thanks.”
“No problem,” Wes says as he looks on toward the other members of the party fighting.
“Hey, you two! Stop slacking off and return the battlefield!” Yuna says as she drags another member out of the frontline while healing him.
As Dee looks at Yuna, he turns back to Wes and says, “You know what? I think Yuna is right… This battle has gone on too long.”
“You know what? I think you’re right too, I say we bring out the elite…” Wes says with a smirk.
“Man, don’t you do it… Kat and Chaz don’t like to be ordered around by an Ixiom,” Dee says with a warning tone.
“Whatever man, they’re just sitting in the back of the battlefield eating,” Wes says grudgingly.
As Dee watches Wes go to the treating station, he mutters under his breath, “It’s your funeral…”
Dee then turns back to look at the monster while shouting out, “Let’s do this and go home! Bring him down!”
