I downloaded the setup and installed it (to C:\NobleStory\NobleStory) and set the compatibility to Windows 98/Me but when I run the launcher and then click Play, after a few seconds a GameGuard folder is created but then it says error initializing, and to check the *.erl files and send them to game@inca.co.kr And yes, I downloaded the client (there were 3 wz files in it and that's it) and I tried opening it with simply moving the folder to NobleStory, and then again after I moved the 3 wz files from within the folder to the NobleStory folder and replacing the ones that came with it.
Sorry, I tried to make this as simple as possible but it might be a bit confusing, and I'm sorry if I mised something about this error, but any help would be appreciated. I want the old v62 experience and I really want to try this server.

A GameGuard folder? ._. Try deleting that folder and try again, I don't even have this folder myself and I'm able to login fine lol.

Are you sure that you clicked on the NobleStory.exe, as opposed to the MapleStory.exe? This is what happens when you click on the MapleStory.exe after clicking on it and then clicking on "Play". All you should have to do is click on the NobleStory client and you should be good to go

There wasn't originally a GameGuard folder and every time I delete it and run maplestory.exe it reappears and the same error message Nina showed comes up.
To Nina: I don't have a NobleStory client. I downloaded the NobleStory client thing through MediaFire for windows and extracted it to itself and moved the folder into my NobleStory folder... But the only things in the NobleStoryWindows folder are 3 wz files that were already in the NobleStory folder. (that's why I replaced the three that were already there, but I also tried it without replacing anything) What does the NobleStory Client thing look like?? Is it just called NobleStory.exe?
It's not there!!! Should I just try to download the mirror client...? (edit: the gameguard error looks a little different, it says error initalizing: -10blahblahblah) I'm on Windows 8 btw
another edit: im downloading a client + wz edits mirror and ill try that hopefully it works and thanks for your help thus far, i think it'll work this time
yet another edit: i downloaded client + wz edits, still no client in that folder five wz files.

It sounds like your antivirus is deleting the client, you'll have to add it on the ignore/exceptions list in the options on whichever antivirus that you have and then it should stop deleting it. But yeah the client is named Noblestory.exe, you click that instead of Maplestory.exe to get in-game.

i disabled my real time protection and excluded the noblestory folder and downloaded the mirror for just the client... It worked!! (actually it didnt wor at first but then i deleted my gameguard stuff) thanks, I had no idea it was my antivirus (there was no warning (but there was a warning for the set-up O.o I allowed it of course))
Well thanks you guys. I really appreciate it, time to play!
