NobleStory Server Rules
1. Cheating
1.1 Hacking: Permanent Ban - All forms of hacking are not allowed.
1.2 Duping: Permanent Ban - All forms of intentional duping are not allowed. If you accidentally dupe items, please contact a member of the NobleStory Staff immediately, to remove any duplicated items.
1.3 Packet Editing: Permanent Ban - All forms of packet editing are not allowed.
1.4 Editing .wz files: Permanent Ban - All forms of unofficial .wz file edits which give your character an abnormal advantage are not allowed. Cosmetical edits on the other hand are generally permitted. This includes, but is not limited to: Graphical edits for Items, Skills and Maps; or sound effects and background music. However; such edits must not alter the appearance of your character for others. For example, when editing the FM Map, you must keep the default footholds, so that you do not appear to stand on invisible platforms to other players.
1.5 Botting: Permanent Ban - All forms of botting are not allowed. This includes the use of software and/or the use of paperweights to gain an abnormal advantage. NobleStory Staff members reserve the right to jail you to test if you are botting. If you respond within a reasonable amount of time after being jailed, you will not experience any problems.
1.6 Vote Abuse: Permanent Ban - While we allow players to have up to 2 accounts, using more than one account to obtain NX Cash via Voting is not allowed.
1.7 Bug/Glitch Abuse: Permanent Ban - If you find a bug or glitch in-game which you believe can be abused for EXP, Mesos, or via other methods, please report it to a member of the NobleStory Staff immediately. Failure to do so, and continued abuse of said bug/glitch is strictly prohibited.
1.8 Account Sharing: Account Ban - Account Sharing is strictly prohibited. It is committed the moment you log onto another account than your own. If you have a specific reason why you must share accounts, you have to contact a member of the NobleStory Staff and receive approval to do so. Otherwise, both parties' accounts will be banned.
1.9 Multi-Client: Account Ban - While it is permitted to own up to 2 accounts, you may not benefit from any interactions between your own characters. This includes, but is not limited to: self-leeching, filling gaps in Party-Quests or Bossing Squads, mass-fame yourself, participating with more than one character in Events. You may exchange Buffs with your own characters. You may trade with our own characters. If anything is unclear, ask a member of the NobleStory Staff for clarification before taking action.
1.10 Scamming: Account Ban - Scamming another player is not allowed. You will be asked to give everything that you scammed back, or risk being banned and having anything scammed forcibly returned. If you apprehend your wrongdoing, you will be left with a warning for that one time.
1.11 Association with Cheaters: Equal Punishment - Associating with any player involved in the above methods makes you guilty by association. If you witness any form of cheating, please contact a member of the NobleStory Staff (preferably with evidence such as a screenshot/video). If you fail to do so, you will face the same punishment as the main offender. This applies on every rule stated in this thread.
2. Harassment
2.1 Foul Language/Libel/Insults: 1st Offense: 6 Hour Jail; 2nd Offense: 3 Day Ban; 3rd Offense: Account Ban - All forms of foul language to intentionally offend another person, directly or indirectly, are not allowed. Taunting and baiting others is no different from that. This includes, but is not limited to: comments about a person's race/ethnicity, gender, country of origin, religious beliefs, sexuality, etc. Anything that is defamatory or maliciously/damagingly represents another person falls under the same category. This also includes repeatedly making fun of someone despite being asked to stop.
2.2 Threats: Permanent Ban - The use of threats in a manner that causes another person to have reason to fear for his/her safety constitutes as harassment, and will not be tolerated.
2.3 Stalking: 1st Offense: 3 Day Ban; 2nd Offense: 7 Day Ban; 3rd Offense: Account Ban - Stalking other players by consistently following them around to intentionally alter their gameplay experience to their disadvantage is strictly prohibited. If you decide to disobey another player's request to respect their privacy, you will be considered guilty.
2.4 Mass Defamation: 1st Offense: 3 Day Ban; 2nd Offense: 7 Day Ban; 3rd Offense: Account Ban - The use of multiple accounts and/or characters to defame a player without cause is not allowed.
2.5 Killing via Summoning Bags: 1st Offense: 3 Day Ban; 2nd Offense: 7 Day Ban; 3rd Offense: Account Ban - Intentionally following players and using summoning bags to consistently kill them constitutes as harassment, and is not allowed.
2.6 Kill Stealing: 1st Offense: 6 Hours Jail; 2nd Offense: 3 Day Ban; 3rd Offense: Account Ban - Intentionally killing monsters in a map already occupied by another player, and/or killing another player's monster after having already been asked to leave constitutes as harassment, and is not allowed.
3. Miscellaneous
3.1 Impersonation: Permanent Ban - Impersonating another player, or a member of the NobleStory Staff is not allowed.
3.2 Advertising: Permanent Ban - Advertising another MapleStory server on NobleStory is not allowed. There is a clear distinction between discussing other servers (and past experiences) and attempting to recruit other players to join another server. If you choose to talk about other servers, you are free to do so, but we recommend abbreviating names.
3.3 False Ban Appeal: Permanent Ban - While the NobleStory Staff is generally very lenient when it comes to unbanning players, telling lies on a ban appeal will automatically result in the ban appeal being denied, and you being permanently rejected from NobleStory.
3.4 Evasion: Permanent Ban - Attempting to evade any kind of punishment given due to iniquitious behavior in the game is not allowed. You will be permanently banned from NobleStory, including all of your future accounts.

To register an Account, you will be required to provide us with certain information about yourself, including, without limitation, your e-mail address and birthday, We may also collect your IP address and MAC address to be used by us for a variety of internal purposes, including without limitation to verify your rights to and maintain the Account, to ensure that your Account is unique, to deal with security, debugging and technical support issues, for billing and payment-related issues and to protect ourselves and others from abuse. All of the information you provide to us or that we collect from you will be governed by the terms and conditions of this Agreement and our Privacy Policy, which is hereby incorporated by reference. • Use the game for any unlawful purpose or in any manner not intended by NobleStory as contemplated herein and/or on the Site;
• Engage in rude, unlawful, harassing, vulgar, obscene, hateful, threatening, abusive or otherwise objectionable behavior, including, without limitation, looting, kill stealing, making sexual comments and/or cursing;
• Express or imply that any statements you make or actions you take are endorsed by us;
• Impersonate another person, or indicate that you are a staff member of NobleStory;
• Transmit: (i) any content that is unlawful, harassing, vulgar, obscene, hateful, fraudulent, threatening, abusive, libelous, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable, or that could be deemed to be stalking or constitute an invasion of a right of privacy of another person; (ii) any content that infringes our or any third party’s intellectual property or other rights, or that you otherwise do not have permission to transmit; (iii) any software or other materials that contain any viruses, worms, trojan horses, defects, date bombs, time bombs or other items of a destructive nature; (iv) any material, non-public information about companies without the authorization to do so; (v) any trade secret of any third party; or (vi) any advertisements, solicitations, chain letters, pyramid schemes, investment opportunities or other unsolicited commercial communication (except as otherwise expressly permitted by us);
• Provide a link to any web sites that promote any product or any service, including but not limited to advertising other servers;
• Use any robot, spider, site search/retrieval application or other manual or automatic device or process to retrieve, index, "data mine" or in any way reproduce or circumvent the navigational structure or presentation of the Service or its contents, including, but not limited to, Cash Items;
• Harvest or collect information about the game, visitors to the game or users of the Service without their express consent;
• Sell, advertise, or post information on hacks for the game and/or advertising, posting information on or selling hacks for any other games;
• Exploit errors in design, features which are not documented and/or bugs to gain access that would otherwise not be available or to obtain any competitive advantage;
• Modify the game to change "game play," including, without limitation, creating cheats and/or hacks or using third-party software to access files in the Software or Service;
• Use tools which hack or alter the game or that allow you to connect to the game’s private binary interface or utilize user or other interfaces other than those provided by us to you;
• Engage in using macros (i.e., "macroing"), auto-looting or robot play (i.e., "booting") or any other behavior that allows you (or any character you are controlling) to automatically function or effect any action in a game with or without your presence;
• Use "packet sniffing," scripting and/or macroing software for any purpose whatsoever, or otherwise monitor the Service, the Cash Items or the Software;
• Attempt to obtain a password or other private account information from any other person or user of the game; and/or
• Disclose your personally identifiable information or any other person's or user's personally identifiable information (e.g., name, e-mail address, telephone number, age, address, etc.) on game, or web sites or forums related to the game.

• Harvest or collect information about the game, visitors to the game or users of the Service without their express consent;
• Sell, advertise, or post information on hacks for the game and/or advertising, posting information on or selling hacks for any other games;
• Exploit errors in design, features which are not documented and/or bugs to gain access that would otherwise not be available or to obtain any competitive advantage;
• Modify the game to change "game play," including, without limitation, creating cheats and/or hacks or using third-party software to access files in the Software or Service;
• Use tools which hack or alter the game or that allow you to connect to the game’s private binary interface or utilize user or other interfaces other than those provided by us to you;
• Engage in using macros (i.e., "macroing"), auto-looting or robot play (i.e., "booting") or any other behavior that allows you (or any character you are controlling) to automatically function or effect any action in a game with or without your presence;
• Use "packet sniffing," scripting and/or macroing software for any purpose whatsoever, or otherwise monitor the Service, the Cash Items or the Software;
• Attempt to obtain a password or other private account information from any other person or user of the game; and/or
• Disclose your personally identifiable information or any other person's or user's personally identifiable information (e.g., name, e-mail address, telephone number, age, address, etc.) on game, or web sites or forums related to the game.
