Bringing this up now because cba from last event.
Players shouldn't be allowed to use their mount covers or obstructive NX whilst in events like JQs, it's stupid. I added the rule when I was GM here but it must've been lost along the way.
Ruins experience for everyone else, especially when you've people laying down on platforms with certain NX/covers and the platforms become invisible.
Surprised this hasn't been bought up here before, but nbd.

Looks like another rule has bit the dust while some ex Game-Master has modified and shortened the rules during your absence. I think this problem is too inferior to be given an extra paragraph in the Terms and Conditions. Showing a proper behavior while participating in an Event is self-evident. I didn't experience issues like that often enough to take it seriously. But; whenever i see someone ruining an Event by showing improper behavior (spamming the chat in Trivias, using whatever GFX to distract other players in JQs, etc.), i do not hesitate and give them a warning - telling them to stop and being disqualified and being banned from any further Events if they choose to continue. This has already happened once. Also, it is usually explained along with the rules for the corresponding Event before start. We can add an extra line regarding this problem in the Event's description thread.

Yeah doesn't need a big paragraph to explain it, should just be standard practice. Just irritating going in to a JQ where the GM hosting the event has said nothing about mount covers or flashy NX items and you've someone covering whole sections of a JQ with a giant frog cover. So long as people know it isn't allowed, should fix it.

The only issue with JQs and mounts so far has been with Ghost Chimney. Probably because it's *technically* not a JQ per se. In other JQs such as Zak JQ, Ellinia, Sleepywood, and our beloved Ninja Castle, mounts cannot be (mounted) lol. But however there is another way that mounts can appear in JQs, and that is the person on the mount is afking in the FM. After GM warps everyone to the JQ map, he does not get off. Anyway to end my opinion; Like Ace said, it is 100% apparent to behave yourself while participating in an Event. It's just a hit of the Enter key to get someone unruly out of the Event anyways. So play nice people

I think chalkboards can also be an issue on maps where you need to see the platforms, like in Ellinia JQ Part 1.

I remember the first JQ event I joined on this server - which was GC, they sat in chairs and used chalkboards at the bottom blocking the view for the first platforms. However, I havent really seen more of that in the more recent JQ events, and I agree that the necessary action would be an extra line in the event description/information

I fully agree to this, it is very annoying when certain people put up chalkboards and block platforms with jr.neckies on them for example. Also using huge skills which may create a tiny freeze on ur screen that can sabotage your jump.

For a large array of reasons, I really don't think that having Ghost Chimney as an event is a remotely good idea. Simply by virtue of the sheer amount of players present during an event (as we've seen0, Ghost Chimney is awful and impossible to do without lots of luck. Also, nice new avatar Erik

Just to add on to my own post I'm gunna take something that was posted on the recent downtime thread.
This isn't about reacting to a problem that's already there, we should be working to prevent it. It has happened in every single JQ event I've been part of and yeah whilst it may not effect some JQs as much as the others, it shouldn't be a situational thing. Obstructive, distracting and otherwise items that directly affect the way people are able to perform in an event shouldn't be allowed.
Preventing > reacting. nbd just my opinion.

i don't even like when people have pets out during JQs... It just crowds the screen with unnecissary stuff(such as mount, chalkboards, etc.).

I was just discussing this with someone else while I couldn't get on the forums... I don't even like going to events anymore because of the other players that ruin it for me. I have a hard enough time with JQ's let alone when someone blocks it in some way shape or form. If I were in a position to do something about it my actions would be to tell said player to knock it off and if they did not comply I would jail them and not award them with participation. That is just my opinion.
Honestly, I don't even see why people complain or do stupid things like these. It's not like those running said events are being paid to do so. They are doing it to be kind and generous and people just seem to take advantage of that to much.
