Why do you think you got banned: so there is this rumor going around that i shut down the server because I got banned which isnt true.
Why do you think you should be unbanned: well i dont know why i was banned in the first place from what i was told was that i got banned and then the server got hacked which looks bad on my part i must admit but it was not me wether you all believe me or not. What i am more confused about is why i was allegedly banned in the first place because after i logged off i went to work and when i got home the was down and ace banned me off the fourms. I was even told that there wasnt any known evidence about myself unless i misinterpeted the conversation anyway im tired of typing im sure i got my point across if i didnt please feel free to ask anything

Someone of our team investigated you.
You were found having another weapon equipped in the game than stated in the corresponding table in our database. This is not that kind of usuall stuff which happens because of bugs or by chance.
It's only natural that we suspect you of being capable of using SQL injections to remotely manipulate foreign databases to your liking. If it wasn't you, who else would have launched the recent attack?
Three players were banned, and it happened shortly after. All of these three had a reason to do so. Your shoutbox comments that time didn't really help to make everyone believe you are the good guys. It's funny how everyone tries to deny, while one of you guys is the one to blame. There is evidence of what we found. We don't see a reason to show it to you or public.

Honestly, how is anyone supposed to believe you guys really do have evidence if you're not willing to share it? From what I've heard, our bans aren't the first time someone has been banned without a real justification. I'm not saying your accusations towards Mike aren't true, but it seems like you're abusing your GM powers if you're not going to provide some solid proof for his ban. Also Ace, I like how you're still ignoring my appeal. Are you just going to tell me the same thing you told Mike? That there's evidence but no reason to show me? I can't speak for anything Mike did or didn't do, but I'm 100% positive that I haven't done anything to get myself banned from this server. I've already explained why Adam's screenshot of me is false, so I'm really curious to see what else there is. Come at me. The last thing I'll say is we really need to stop pointing fingers about who did or didn't hack the database. This issue isn't getting anywhere. You guys don't know who did it, and neither do we. At this point, there's nothing we can do but move on. |

And for everyone else to see...this is the screenshot Adam tried to use to justify my ban: postimg.org/image/5e524xpnz/When Mike said "2 eq, 1 kill", he was referring to how it looked like 1 Slimy dropped 2 equips. Sarcastically, he called out "hacks". Then I said "Shh, inv is full" because my inventory was full and I couldn't loot the equips. I'm such a hacker, right?  Quoting Erwin: "I'm not going to question Ace's or Adam's judgment in this. They know more about what Derp's been doing than I do, and if they banned him, it's for a damn good reason. The GMs here never ban people without just cause." Good one. |

The staff has full rights to not show any proof, but indeed other would like to see proof to prevent transparency. if Ace mentions that he *saw* you wearing multiple weapons in different slot via DB or in-game (PE Exploit) or at least that's what I understand from his post then I don't see why he would lie about that. As of him guessing you guys are part of the attacks without any proof whatsoever and just *assume* because it happened shortly after the bans is quite stupid.
This quote sounds very likely that its a pure guess you guys are behind the attacks. But whatever that, he saw you guys (or any of you guys) were wearing multiple weapon equips, which is an instant permanent ban for Packet Editing or hacking tools usage. So even if you were not behind the attacks, you used an in-game exploit (according to staff), which is a bannable offense.

I never had an equip in another slot o.o id love to see this because it wasnt me. You guys post the evidence on everyone else why not here o.o?
If you dont want me on your server for personal reasons just say it but dont incriminate me without proof thats just wrong man

Also SQL yea i have a pervious backround in it but as i said before it was not me, how the hell am i supposed to know who it was? Also why would i suddenly go and shut the server down without even posting an appeal first that just doesnt make sense... To me it doesnt anyway

I haven't replied to Ryan's ban appeal because everything that had to be mentioned was already said by someone else, and the thread got closed until further notice for obvious reasons. Same with this thread now.
You don't seem to understand the severity of the scenario. You keep trying to sneak around your bans, ignoring the fact that you are not the ones to question the decisions which we made inside our team.
We very well have the rights to examine players and apply precautionary measures if we consider their existence as a potential danger for the server and community.
Given the reputation of you guys, this doesn't help it at all. Nobody would want to have such individuals inside their community. Don't even try to bring that "it's just a game" argument; every character is controlled by a human behind the screen. You are responsible for your actions, so please accept the consequences.
The screenshot shown above does indeed look like a misunderstanding and is no viable evidence to permanently ban someone. The problem here is that this "proof" was never meant to be the reason for your bans. It's quite perky of you to demand an exact, flawless sort of evidence for each and every small thing that we suspect you for. In case, we do not take screenshots or record a video clip of every little abnormal behavior we encounter in the game. The Noble-Staff has a certain level of trust towards each member and therefore we do not question each and every action.
If you want a reason why you have been banned, so be it.
RIDEMYPIANUS has been banned for database manipulation (his equipped weapon in the game and the one listed in the corresponding table didn't match)
Gordon has been banned for a hack which allowed him to equip a secondary weapon in a foreign equipment slot
Derpalicious has been banned for possessing multiple accounts without permission and abusing the vote system with them
Alice has been banned for possessing multiple accounts without permission and abusing the vote system with them
For Derpalicious' and Alice's case, there have been a few Staff-internal issues. You were never supposed to be unbanned. SdwSlyr606 conditionally unbanned you so you didn't have to wait for so long because i have not been present on that weekend to evaluate your ban appeals. There hasn't been any kind of discussion. This incident deserves indeed an apology from our side; we are sorry for the poor communication at that time.
I will bring up a discussion again, where everyone of the Staff has the opportunity to vote for your ban appeals.
Until that, please be patient and do not go overboard in the forums.

Granted that I haven't been too well in the last few days and certainly don't have the energy to do much of anything, there's a few things to add. One being that SS I had of Derp and RIDE, that one was taken and shown to Ace as a "keeping a closer watch" kind of thing. Since even I wasn't 100% sure on what to make of it, though it did sound suspicious after catching Gordon myself earlier on. Another thing to add along the lines of the reason of RIDE, I didn't get the screenshots for this but I found similar findings on Derp as well. The weapon that was shown to be equipped in-game was different than the one listed on the database at that time. This was before we noticed the same thing with RIDE the day after, I wasn't quite sure on what to make of this either (my knowledge of MySQL isn't too much, and I don't code. XD) and it was around 5am my time so I was like "Eh, I'll ask the others about it later". Of course I forgot to screenshot the stuff before going to bed, so there's that. Last thing is towards Derp and Alice's bans, Ace did tell me he didn't intend to unban but I hadn't known so. He was gone for 3-4 days at that time as we all know, and of course the "too nice" part of me was like "I can't just let them wait half a week, I'll just go by what I was doing in cases of vote abusing that I mentioned a few months ago". Well it seems my way turned out to be a bit outdated lol, guess this is what happens when I try to help and get involved when I shouldn't (I should probably listen to Will and stay in my coffin).  I think that's about it. I showed you guys all I had from the 2 days I was around in-game but other than that, I didn't completely get involved in all of this. So the others would have the majority of it if they're willing to show it. Best of luck to you all either way. Now time for me to go back to my coffin, and hopefully I don't end up being in a real one. |

There is no reason for any of us to throw down the hammer of Thor without any reason at all. Every ban we have made thus far (at least since January because that's when I joined as Staff) has a good explanation behind it. At least that's not in my books. When you point a finger at someone, you are pointing 4 fingers back at yourself. Whoever did whatever, it will always be in your conscience, in the back of your head. Everyday. Of course there are people who can live with that. Because that's just who they are.
Note that I'm not accusing anyone of anything, because that's not me and all of you know that. I always (and still) believe in 'innocent until proven guilty.' There is sufficient evidence that Gordon and RIDEMYPIANUS have manipulated the game for their own benefit. I have seen it for myself. It is utterly and downright disgusting because someone like me who has no access to the database can't actually see this evidence until another of the Noble-Staff who had DB access showed me. Hackers I can catch. Packet Editors will always be out of my reach. I can only 'suspect' with regards to how much damage a person is doing, and how much accuracy (note that so far all packet-editing has had a track record of warriors, warriors, warriors) said person is doing to the mobs at the map they are currently at.
Then again you can just ignore what I've said because it looks like this is all just my opinion and I'm launching a personal attack. I'm not that trustworthy, right?
