Which position are you applying for?:
[ ]Developer (Specify: Java, Web)
[ ]Scripter (JavaScript)
[x]Game Master (Events, Moderating)
[ ]Graphic Designer
[x]Other - I'm putting an X next to "other" denoting the fact that I have dabbled in many facets of maplestory staff-duties (such as developing, scripting, moderation, administration and overall organization of a sever). I would be willing to assist in whatever field is needed but I'm mainly apply for the game master position.

How many hours would you be willing to devote to the server?
This would vary depending on the day. My best estimation would be 2-3 hours on both weekdays and weekends. Comparing that to other players that may seem like a measly time commitment but I am always available through electronic communication (text, messaging of sorts) and have a flexible schedule.
How long have you played NobleStory (or any previous incarnation of NobleStory)?
My best guess for when I joined would be either January or February of 2014 making my stay here totaling slightly over a year. It definitely has felt longer than that though.
How long have you played MapleStory in general?
I remember discovering Maple right before heading off to middle school. My best guess would be 2005-2006, which sounds really weird due to the fact that it is 2015. Where does the time go?
Have you played any other MapleStory private servers? If so, which ones and for how long?
For the amount of time I've played maplestory I really haven't played to many private servers. I usually find one and stick with it for long periods at a time. I played MapleWire and MapleGeek (morphed into each other) for about three years. That is the most notable server I've been a part of and one where I dedicated a large portion of my time to as both a player and staff.
Have you been a staff member on any other MapleStory private servers? If so, which ones and for how long?
I have for the previously mentioned MapleWire/MapleGeek, (I wonder if anyone recognizes them). I acted as the head administrator and developer though my duties extended to just about anything that needed to be done. That experience of a running a server (luckily with the help of others) really gave me a heads-up on how to effectively communicate with others and foster an environment rich in playerbase and user happiness. My time on the staff for Maplewire/Maplegeek lasted about two years.
What other MMORPG(s) do you play besides MapleStory?
I cant say that I play any other games other than Noble. My only other gaming guilty pleasure is Pokemon.
Are you in school or working?
Full time college student.
What do you like most about NobleStory?
There are many aspects of noble that appeal to me. I could begin with the rates or how much I love 62. Or how I adore our ore/trophy system. But it all boils down to tradition and community. Noble has a very strong tradition and community. Some of the people that I have had the pleasure of grinding, farming or sitting around with have supported me through rough times and shared with me my good times. I'd love to see Noble live on through the good people we have attracted thus far and in the future.
Why do you want to work with us?
There are two reasons why I want to be a part of the Noble team. Firstly, I would love to be a tool at the servers disposal. I love this server and want to see it carry continued success. I would love to help that goal by being available to do whatever is needed. I like to fancy myself a jack-of-all-trades both in my general knowledge (In RL) and my abilities to run a server (maplestory). Secondly, and working off of my desire for a cohesive playerbase and staff is communication between those two branches. I feel that even the most successful server cannot run without an understanding of what is going on. I'll be honest and say that players love to know what is going on, and in turn the staff loves when players aren't causing a scene. Though there are lines to always be drawn regarding what is said to who, but there is definitely work to be done for noble in this regard(in my opinion).
What skills can you bring with you to the server (e.g. Coding, Database Management, GFX, Video, etc.)?
I have experience in java based coding and I'm familiar with most of the repacks/sources that are out there (maybe not some of the newer ones from the past couple months). I've hosted my fair share of events mostly to appease the community. I have knowledge of javascript and MySQL database manipulation. While I hold a somewhat firm grasp of these I have not done work in both fields for a while. That is why I am not applying for positions of developer of javascripter, my coding skills are pretty rusty. Additionally I have experience being apart of a team and a vocal figure for a server. Working together with people and figuring out efficient systems for tackling problems is something I am quite confident in. I have absolutely no experience with GFX are anything remotely involved with graphics.
What do you think needs to be improved on the server, and how would you go about improving it?
This is the Achilles heel of any v62 server, players get bored of the stagnation in content. It turns maple into strictly a community based game. Sometimes our community really drops the ball and other times our staff really drops the ball. I really would love to help the server out in that regard. I'm a pretty laidback person and quite levelheaded. I dont really care about levels or equips, nor do I feel the need to have the most nx or mesos(word on the street says that might be a reoccurring problem). I really just want to help out whatever way I can, because noble is somewhere I look forward to going to each day. I hope it can be that way for everyone.
Any final comments?
Thank you for anyone that took the time to read this. Hopefully it didnt come off too preachy and verbose. I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your day.
All the best,
Reed
