Hi! Welcome to NobleStory! Interested in playing on our server? Well, you've come to the right place! In this thread, you'll find everything that you should need to know about our server! Please feel free to ask a member of the NobleStory staff if you have any questions!
What version is NobleStory and what are its rates?
NobleStory is a v.62 MapleStory private server with 2x/2x/2x rates.
How many classes are there?
Since this is a v.62 server, we have just the 5 explorer classes: Warrior, Magician, Bowman, Thief, and Pirate!
Do you plan on ever adding new classes?
No. Since we're a v.62 server at the core, we plan on keeping the basic aspects of v.62 the same.
If I have a Mac, can I play NobleStory?
Yes! In fact, if you have a Windows OS, Mac OS, or Linux, you should be able to play NobleStory! There are download instructions on the Downloads page of the main website. If you have any specific questions or issues about getting our server to work, please feel free to ask a NobleStory Staff member, or post your problem in the Player Support section of our forum!
Does the dice roll at the beginning of creating a character matter?
No it doesn't, you'll start out with 4/4/4/4 with 9 free SP to use on whichever stat you want to add them on.
How do I receive NX?
The main way to receive NX is by voting for us. You can receive 3000 NX every 12 hours by voting via the Vote button on our Website. In order to receive NX, make sure that you have created a character, logged off, and inputted your account username (not your character's name). If you have any issues, or receive an error when voting, please do not hesitate to contact a GM or post your problem in the player support section of our forum! Additionally, every now and then monsters in our server will drop Nexon Cash Cards. These will either be in the form of 100 NX or 250 NX. As soon as you pick them up, they will automatically be added to your account. Note that boss monsters will drop Nexon Cash Cards at a higher rate. Furthermore, you'll also find that various monthly events will give out NX as one of the prizes. Alas, there are many ways to receive NX, and being one of the top voters of the month will reward you with some bonus rare NX of choice!
Does NX expire?
No! All NX Items in our server are permanent! This means that when you buy an item from Cash Shop, it will last forever! The only exception would be pets, which sadly will expire in the year 2039! We apologize for the inconvenience this will cause you in 25 years.
Are there 2x EXP Cards?
Yes! In order to receive 2x EXP, you will need to buy the Yellow Weekday 2x Cards. Although they say Weekday, these 2x Cards will work between the 4 hour PST time period everyday of the week. There are a total of 8 Yellow 2x Cards, and each costs 15,000 NX. Additionally, because NX is permanent, this means that you will be able to receive 2x for those 4 hours everyday forever!
Are there 2x Drop Cards?
Unfortunately, there are not. However, given that our server drop rate is already 2x, we have optimized our server's drop rate so that all drops drop at above average rates. We strive to ensure that our drop database is as accurate as possible so as to match bbb.hidden-street.net. You can also use the command @whatdrops 'itemid' to see a list of monsters that drop a specific item. If you find an item that is missing from a mob that it should be dropping from please feel free to let us know and we will be happy to add it for you!
Which Gachapons are Working?
We have every GMS Gachapon added in our server! Additionally, we also have a guide that tells you exactly what each Gachapon gives, so be sure to check it out in our guides section! NobleStory Gachapon Guide
Which Hairs are available?
We have a complete Hair Guide with a list of all of the available VIP and EXP options for every town. You can find it as part of the Hair Guide in our guides section. Unlike most servers, you'll also find that getting the EXP Hairs that you want is much easier on our server! The Amoria Hair quest will also have the possibility of randomly giving players any hair in the game (from the best hairs to the worst hairs). No more ragequitting over not getting your desired hair! Which PQs are working?
Currently, you'll find that HPQ, KPQ, LPQ, LMPQ, OPQ, PPQ, APQ (Amoria), GPQ, and ZPQ should all work close to, if not completely, 100% GMS-like. If you find a bug while competing one of them, please let us know about it by posting in the Bug Reports section of our forum. Additionally, we also have 3 levels of Boss PQ for you to try. This is similar to the GMS Mu Lung Dojo. We also have plans to eventually add Magatia, Ellin Forest, and CWK PQs! Are all Bosses working?
Yep! NobleStory currently has every v.62 area boss added, with drops matching bbb.hidden-street.net 100%. You can also see a list of spawn times on the Party Quest and Area Bosses Guide in the Guides Section of our forum. Bosses generally take longer to respawn here than in GMS due to there being fewer players, however, to make up for that, bosses have much better drop rates than in GMS. Do Ships/Transportation Work?
Yep! NobleStory currently has all GMS transportation methods added with lower wait times to make rides less boring. Furthermore, we also have automatic warp options at a higher meso price for players who prefer to move from area to area faster. We also offer Travel Passes that are purchasable with Maple Leaves which allow players to warp between certain destinations for free (without having to pay mesos).
Do Engagements/Marriages/Weddings Work?
For sure! NobleStory currently has all aspects of the marriage system working, including engagements, both Chapel/Cathedral weddings, divorces, and Wedding Bonus. Players who complete the Wedding Bonus will also have the opportunity to win a random number of Onyx Apples as well as participate in Amoria PQ. Are there any Events?
Definitely! We host GM Events regularly every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Each event day will normally include 2 unique events. To check them out, be sure to attend! Everybody is welcome, and this is a great opportunity to receive Maple Leaves or Event Trophies. Furthermore, we also have Monthly NobleStory Events that are posted at the beginning of every month. These include Scavenger Hunts, iSpys, and many others. You will find that these monthly events also give you lots of opportunities to win exclusive prizes!
What are Maple Leaves for?
You can find Maple Leaves as drops from monsters, and as rewards for completing achievements, or participating in and winning events. Maple Leaves can then be taken to Spindle, an NPC accessible by using the @spindle command. Through Spindle, you can exchange your Maple Leaves for various prizes. What are Event Trophies for?
Event Trophies are only available by winning GM Events, completing achievements, or completing monthly events. They can then be taken to Cody, an NPC in various towns and accessible by using the @cody command. Through Cody, you can exchange your Event Trophies for various prizes. Are there Maple Items in NobleStory?
For sure! You'll find that Maple Weapons and Shields drop from various monsters on our server. Level 43 Maple Weapons can also be upgraded to level 64 by talking to the NPC, Mr. Moneybags. Furthermore, other Maple items such as Maple Hats, Maple Earrings, Maple Capes, and Maple Bandannas will sometimes drop from Victoria Island area bosses and can be upgraded using your Maple Leaves through Spindle. How do I receive iTCG items?
Items like Facestompers, Stormcaster Gloves, and Balanced Furries can all be forged through various iTCG NPCs in NLC and El Nath. You can obtain iTCG ETC Items along with some iTCG equips by using your Boss PQ Points to purchase them. All requirements are similar, if not identical to those from GMS. Are Quests Working?
Definitely! We have about 99.9% of all quests working! We also have quest items only dropping when your quests are active! We are currently also the only v.62 server with the entire Masteria quest line 100% fixed. All Ariant and Nautilus quests are also fixed. Every 4th Job Skill Quest is also working. You can check out the Bugged Quest List in the Bug Reports section to see what remaining quests are bugged. Are Skills working?
Definitely! We put a lot of emphasis on making sure that the very core aspects of gameplay are working! We especially take pride in the fact that relative to other servers of the same version, we have a 100% working Power Guard (Damage Reflect and Damage Reduction), Beholder (Mastery), Ninja Ambush, Mana Reflection, Taunt, Flamethrower/Ice Splitter, and Crash Skills. Do you take any Donations?
Nope. NobleStory is a completely donation-free server! We believe that it is important to make the gameplay fair and balanced, which is why we choose not to give donor rewards. This prevents our game from becoming pay-to-win, which is unfortunately what has happened in GMS. Additionally, by being donation free, we attempt to demonstrate to you that we have stability. NobleStory has been online for nearly two years, and is still going strong. We have no plans to shutdown or wipe anytime soon. Unlike other servers, our motives are not to make any money off of our players, but rather to ensure that you guys have a enjoyable experience basking in the nostalgic glory of MapleStory in its prime.
Is there Wz Edited Content?
Yes, we are currently in the process of adding in many aspects from higher versions of MapleStory. For the time being, we have nearly all of the aesthetic content from v.83 added, including hairs, faces, chairs, pets, mounts, and NX. In the future, we hope to add even more content for our players to enjoy. If you have a specific request, you can request it in the Wz Requests thread in General Discussion, and we'll attempt to add it in the next Wz Edit Update.
