MikasaSuCasa PM'd me and asked me for some Sair AP+SP skill build advice. Since I kinda went overboard on the details; I figured I'd make this guide to help other players who which to make a Sair. Keep in mind; My Corsair on Noble was the first Corsair I had ever played, so my knowledge about them is actually very limited. But, hopefully, this will at least give you some basis on what to do with your own character.
The AP build itself is fairly simple. Get yourself the level 35,43 and 64 maple weapons and go STR-less until level 100. But, depending on how much you're going to invest in your char; Your Base STR might fluctuate. But I'll touch on that later.
Pirate Skill build + Training Guide:
Your first job SP build is also fairly simple. Either you can try to find a level 10 or level 20 Frozen Tuna (preferably level 10) and put on Somersault Kick til the skill is level 11 and use that until you're level 35. Or you go by the "regular skill build".
+ skill build (Assuming you have a level 10 Frozen Tuna):
+11 on Somersault Kick
Max Bullet Time (Aids A LOT in accuracy while you're at a low levels. Go do the after you finish the Job Quests that gives you and the DANGER! quests (). Do the one as well.
Max Double Shot
Max Dash
SP Calculation: From level 10 to 30 = 61 (60+1 from advancing to 1st job) Skill Points.
61 - 11 (Somersault Kick) = 40 left
40 - 10 (Maxed Bullet Time) = 30 left
30 - 20 (Maxed Double Shot) = 10 left
10 - 10 (Maxed Dash) = 0 left.
If you don't get your hands on a Frozen Tuna:
Max Double Shot.
Max Bullet Time
Max Dash
Put the remaining 11 SP on Somersault Kick.
Do the Job Quests that Kyrin gives you, then do the DANGER! quests (get someone to leech-kill the Evil Eye one for you), then get your ass to Ariant and kill +until you're level 30.Move on to+ after you've advanced.
Gunslinger Skill build + Training Guide:
Max Invisible Shot
+5 on Mastery
+6 on Booster
Max Mastery
Max Booster
Max Blank Shot
Max Recoil Shot
Max Wings
Put whatever SP that's left on Grenade .
To my experience there's no real good spot for Gunslingers from 30-43, you're basically going to be stuck at Teddies. At 43 You could probably go to Slimys. You might miss a lot, but Gunslingers training spots are very limited. You might even have to stay at Teddies until 45ish..
Depending on how good your PaC, FS, Glove and Overall is; Go to as soon as possible. Hopefully you can get yourself a ZHelm at 50, too. If Windraiders suck at 50 then simply go back to Slimys until you think you can kill Wind Raiders efficiently. Regardless; You should have moved on to Wind Raiders by 64 after you get your new Gun .
Outlaw Skill build + Training Guide:
Max Burst Fire
Max Gaviota
These two skills are crucial for Slingers. Everything else is pretty useless (seeing as Homing Beacon doesn't work).
You stay at Wind Raiders til you have enough HP to tank Headless Horseman (which, iirc, should be around level 81). From here on out you're stuck killing HH's until you're level 120..
After level 100 you'll need to calculate how much STR you will gain from your equips (Dep star, ZHelm, scrolled pet equip, rings etc) by the time you're level 120. I'd suggest you at least chaos a Zhelm and Dep Star so that they're +20 STR and +8-10 STR respectively (if you really want to invest in your char you can try for an even better ZHelm).
Assuming you at least have two 3 Carat rings by level 120 and that at least 4 out of 7 Pet Equip for STR 60% scrolls work (You get them from Spindle);
+4-6 STR from rings
+20 STR from ZHelm
+8-10 STR from Dep Star
+4 STR from Pet Equip
This equals a minimum of +36 STR, which means you'll need a minimum base of 84 STR to be able to equip your Timeless weapon by level 120.
Since you start off with +4 base STR you'll need 16 levels (5AP each level x 16 = 80 STR(+4 base) = 84 STR) to reach 120 STR by level 120 (IF we go by you having +36STR from equips). So do your calculations when you're 100ish to estimate how much STR you'll need to add.
Corsair Skill build + Training Guide:
Corsairs are very versatile when it comes to bossing. Either you can max Battleship Cannon and go ZArm (Only do the bottom Arms) and kill Anego-- Or you can add 10 on Cannon, about 5 on Rapid Fire and then max Cannon so that you can BF.
Sucky guide on how to BF as a Sair:
Aggro BF, Recoil to the right side, face the corner until BF is close to you, recoil over him and spam Rapid Fire until he is pinned. Quickly spawn Gaviota and keep using Rapid Fire for a couple of seconds-- Then you simply walk to the left to the left (Ayyy Beyonce) a bit and then jump on your Ship and you spam Battleship Cannon. Every 60 seconds you'll have to attack to the opposite side once so that you don't get that dreadful "anti-bot" shit, which ends up in BF un-pinning 80% of the time, which ends up with you seeing yourseld die.
I'd suggest you ZArm/Anego seeing as BF takes a lot of practice for you not to die 10 times each BF.
Idk what else to add. Good luck!

Excuse the obnoxious-ass pictures. I was bored. You can also tell I got sloppy as fuck by the end of this post
