Since the beginning of the new year, you may have gotten your hands on a few Red Envelopes and wondered to yourself, what are these items for? Well, as some of you may know, the Lunar New Year begins on January 31st this year. Since we weren't able to do much for New Year's Day, we thought that this would be the best alternative opportunity to thank you guys for making 2013 absolutely fantastic. But not only that, this upcoming month also marks the 1 year anniversary of the first ever scavenger hunt event hosted on our server (by my lovely co-GM Adam). To show our gratitude and to celebrate, we've decided to bring back many of the exclusive rewards that were given out over the past year (including some from the February 2013 Scavenger Hunt) and make them available one final time alongside several brand new rewards. We believe that this will give many of the players who may not have gotten a chance to receive them in the past a chance to receive them now.
I've decided to be a bit unconventional this time to make the reward system a bit more interesting and less monotonous. How the Red Envelope Rewards work is that there will be 1 item or 1 package of items up for auction on every day of February (28 days so 28 items or packages of items). Your Red Envelopes act as currency to bid for the item. In order to bid, you will need to send me a PM, or whisper me your bid during the 24 hour time frame of that specific day. Since this is a secret auction, unless you choose to tell others, only I will know how many Red Envelopes each player has bid. The player who bids the most on that day (assuming he actually has the amount that he/she bid) will win the auction. If a player bids more Red Envelopes than he/she currently has, the player who bid the 2nd highest will win the auction and the 1st bidder will no longer be able to bid on any additional rewards.
Here are the packages of items for each day of February. I have organized it so that "better" items can be found on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and on days later in the month. Also remember, that Red Envelopes will also be given out during events throughout February, so do not fret if you do not have many at the moment. There are many opportunities to earn more.
